Advanced solutions for irregular corneas

There are eye conditions where conventional soft contact lenses or glasses cannot provide a good quality of vision. The keratoconus, corneal ectasias or irregularities following a refractive surgery (LASIK) or a cornea transplant require advanced optical solutions.

In Optica San Sebastián we are specialized in the adaptation of this type of technical contact lenses. Through a topographic study of your cornea, we design and adapt custom lenses that are supported in a stable way, neutralize irregularities and act as a new perfect optical surface, returning you a visual acuity that you thought you lost.

Our specialty in complex adaptations

We drive a wide range of gas permeable lenses (RGP) and hybrid designs to solve the most complex cases:

Lens for Queratocono: Specific designs (corneal, scleral) that adapt to the deformation of the cornea, providing a clear vision and comfort.
Scleral lenses: Large diameter lenses that are based on the slave (the white part of the eye) without touching the cornea. They are the best solution for very irregular corneas or severe dry eye cases, creating a tear reserve that constantly hydrates the eye.
Post-Surgery Lents (LASIK or Transplant): Special designs for corneas that have been surgically modified and that have developed irregularities.
